Yeon Ji “Eva” Kim graduated from Duke University in 2019 with a B.S.E. in environmental engineering. Her research centers on the impact of environmental exposure on gut-lung microbiome axis and host health parameters. Her current projects include investigating the effect of bariatric surgery and subsequent microbiome changes on obese asthma, characterizing the dust microbiome and resistome in hog farms, and impact of hog farm dust inhalation on gut/lung microbiome.
