Laboratory Facilities

Dr. Gunsch's research team has access to all shared facilities in the environmental engineering group which includes a media preparation room, a constant temperature environmental chamber, a microbial culturing room, a clean room for molecular biological experimentation. In addition, Dr. Gunsch has a personal lab where students/research associates can build and run lab-scale experiments.

In addition to its own equipment, Dr. Gunsch's research group has access to campus-wide core facilities including:

Through these core facilities, the team has access to Light microscopy, Scanning elecron microscopy, Transmission electron microscopy, Stable Isotope Laboratory, Next Generation Sequencing technologies, Proteomics, Metabolomics, Peptide synthesis, Microarray, Cell culturing and large-scale fermentation, Flow cytometry, Macromolecular structure determination and graphics, and a greenhouse.
